What is your favorite thing about being a mom:

I love the deep connection I share with my kids—the little moments of love, laughter, and watching them grow into their own unique selves. I love seeing life through their eyes, whether it’s their excitement over small joys or the way they challenge you to be present and intentional. Being a sports mom / mom to an athlete has been one of my favorites!

What two items would you take with you if you were shipwrecked on a deserted island where all your food and water needs were taken care of?

Mascara & lip gloss

If you had a time machine, would you travel to the future or back to the past?

Past- the 60’s I love the glitz & glam of it all

How do you practice self-care?

I love doing spa nights, watching my fav shows, mani/pedis, & a glass of wine by the fire pit.

Where did you grow up and how did you end up in Richmond?

I was born in west palm beach- I love all things palm trees, beaches, & sunshine - spent most of my life between OH, PA, & VA - I ended up in Richmond due to a job relocation

How did becoming a mother change you?

Being a mom has shaped me—my resilience, adaptability, and patience. I’ve navigated co-parenting, divorce/separation, and building a life that works for my kids and me. It’s made me resourceful, balancing jobs, creating structure in chaos, and focusing on what truly matters.

It’s made me more intentional, and deeply compassionate—not just toward my kids but also myself and others on this journey.

Are you a stay at home mom or do you work outside of the home?

I work outside the home as a professional nanny and own my own business in the beauty industry (skincare/makeup) + I love content creation

If you could choose one song to play every time you walked into a room for the rest of your life, what song would you choose and why?

Riser by Dierks Bentley, it just always lifts my spirits if I’m having a day where I’m feeling sad or lonely or just overwhelmed.

If your five-year-old self suddenly found themselves inhabiting your current body, what would they do first?

She’d dive into something fun—lip gloss, twirling in a cute outfit, or sneaking a sweet treat (maybe sweet Loren’s cookies in the oven). Then, she’d explore—digging through my makeup, flipping through my planner (“Does this mom ever take a break? ”), or dancing around the house.

She’d remind me it’s okay to just be—to have fun, let go, and embrace who I am. And she’d be proud of the woman she became, reminding me to be just as proud of myself, even as an overachiever who’s often too hard on herself.

If we wanted to say hi, which classes can we find you attending?

I try to make most morning ones on weekdays and will be trying out weeknights and weekend ones soon

Jen, your 5 year old self has some really great advice that we all could hear! I also love that you wanted to be a dolphin trainer!

We're so glad you found us on Facebook and that you're a part of Our Village!
