Kids ages 5+ and rising Kindergarteners are welcome to participate alongside their parent (at parent discretion). All other little ones should stay safely buckled in their stroller.

Thurs July 9th 10:30am

Stick around after our Stroller Strides workout for some extra fun with the littles! We’re heading out on a mini-adventure through the beautiful Libbie Mill community to explore the new walking paths for nature we can collect!

While moms catch up, the kids will use their 'Nature Walk' bags to hunt for treasures along the trail. We’ll look for everything from crunchy leaves to interesting rocks, finishing our walk at the fenced-in playground, across from the library for some open play and snacks.

Dive into a evening of maritime fun at our Ocean themed Strides 360 class, followed by an ocean fishing playgroup! After our fitness session, the kids can hop aboard our pretend play boat and set sail across the "high seas." Equipped with miniature fishing poles, our little fisherman can cast their lines to snag a variety of colorful toy fish.

This is a fantastic opportunity to connect with other families, enjoy dedicated playtime, and explore the newest family-friendly spot in Richmond.

Itinerary

• 3:30 PM: Kickoff at Bruster’s

  We’ll meet at the Bruster’s Real Ice Cream on Staples Mill Rd to fuel up with a fresh scoop before the fun begins. (can't join us beforehand? no problem, you can always grab some after the playtime!)

• 4:00 PM – 6:00 PM: Playtime at Wild Ones

  Just across the parking lot, at 9131 Staples Mill Rd, we’ll head into the Play Cafe for two hours of exploration.

What to Expect

• Active Play: The space features a gym with climbing walls and balance equipment for bigger kids (ages 5–10) and dedicated imaginative play areas for younger ones.
• For the Parents: While the kids burn off energy, parents can relax in the cafe area, which offers locally brewed craft coffee and snacks.
• Inclusive Environment: The facility includes Bub’s Quiet Corner, a sensory-friendly space for kids who need a calm break.

It's Superhero Week at CAMP FIT4MOM, and we're excited to welcome some real-life heroes! 🚒 After class, firefighters from Henrico County will be stopping by with their big red fire truck for the kids to explore and enjoy.

As always, our firefighters are on duty, so if an emergency arises, they may need to leave early or may not be able to attend. We appreciate their service and understanding that when duty calls, our heroes answer!

🧘‍♀️ STRETCH, STRENGTH, SLICE & SPLASH: MOMS' NIGHT OUT! 🍕🏊‍♀️

Moms, it’s time to leave the stress behind and focus on yourself! Join us for a night of deep stretching, conversation over pizza, and pool relaxation.

• Stretch & Strength: We’re kicking off the night with a 30-minute Vinyasa yoga flow led by Ms. Maggie. Expect to melt away tension, build a little strength, and completely reset.
• Slice: After our final stretch, we will head to the outdoor picnic tables for an optional pizza party and catch-up time.
• Splash: Ready to cool off? Everyone is welcome to jump in the pool with us right after!

💵 Cost: No cost to join us for yoga, It is $8 per person to use the pool. Please Venmo @BRITTMCONTE to lock in your pool spot. Pizza price will depend on who wants to join in!

A villainous cold snap has swept through and trapped some of our favorite toys in a giant block of ice! Join Ms. Caroline for this sensory playgroup activity, where our little superheroes will use their fine motor skills and problem solving powers to defeat the freeze and rescue the toys from the ice block. Super-powered warm-water squirt bottles and kid-safe evacuation tools will be provided.
